AetherShift terms

Last updated: 14 September 2026.

1. Scope and product

These terms apply to the purchase, licensing and use of AetherShift, a Windows application for live supported cosmetic customization in a compatible third-party game environment. The exact supported title, client routes and current compatibility state are published through official Aether Exile channels. By purchasing or using AetherShift, you agree to these terms. Any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you remain unaffected.

For supported cosmetic categories, AetherShift can apply supported selections while the compatible client remains open. A supported selection does not require prior ownership of that cosmetic on the connected third-party account. AetherShift does not grant account ownership, add cosmetics to an account or alter third-party entitlement or ownership records.

2. Price and payment

AetherShift is available at $10 for one month or $14 total for four months of access. Prices are in US dollars (USD).

Initial accepted payment methods are PayPal and FunPay. Payment services may apply their own terms to payment processing. AetherShift does not currently require automatic renewal and no lifetime or annual plan is offered. A new paid period is purchased separately unless a different renewal arrangement is expressly introduced and accepted in the future.

If a payment is reversed, charged back, cancelled or otherwise becomes unsettled after access has been issued, Aether Exile may suspend the associated license while the payment dispute or payment status is reviewed. If the reversal, cancellation or other loss of payment becomes final, the corresponding license may be revoked. A suspension or revocation resulting from a payment dispute may be reviewed through official Aether Exile support where appropriate. This provision does not limit any mandatory rights or remedies available under applicable law.

3. Early Supporter status

Accounts previously awarded permanent Early Supporter status keep that status and the benefits already promised. New purchases do not grant this status.

For the current AetherShift edition, an Early Supporter receives 20% off the first 12 paid 30-day access periods purchased after full release.

A separate AetherShift edition for the earlier title in the same supported game series is in development and has no confirmed release date. It is not included in the current license. If that separate edition launches, Early Supporters will receive 14 days of access at no charge, followed by 20% off their first 12 paid 30-day access periods for that edition. The current- edition and separate-edition discount counters are independent benefits. The exact compatibility identity for each edition is published through official Aether Exile channels.

4. Personal license and device binding

Each AetherShift license is personal, non-transferable and valid for one user on one computer at a time. A license may not be shared between users, reused concurrently across multiple computers, sold, transferred or otherwise made available to another person.

If you replace your computer or make a significant legitimate hardware change, you may request a device change through official Aether Exile support. Legitimate requests are reviewed and manually authorized. The device-binding policy is intended to prevent license abuse, not to penalize ordinary hardware replacement or upgrades.

5. Security, integrity and prohibited conduct

AetherShift uses technical measures to protect software integrity, licensing, access control, distribution and protected components. You must not, directly or through a third party:

  • crack, defeat or bypass AetherShift licensing or access controls;
  • tamper with, modify or evade security measures protecting AetherShift;
  • redistribute AetherShift builds, protected files or protected components without authorization;
  • share or reuse a license across multiple users or computers contrary to these terms; or
  • provide tools, instructions, credentials or other practical assistance intended to enable any of the conduct above.

Nothing in this section is intended to restrict rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

6. Suspension, revocation, refunds and appeal

Aether Exile may suspend or revoke access where there is confirmed abuse involving cracking, circumvention, tampering, unauthorized redistribution, license sharing, bypass of licensing or access controls, or another material breach of these terms. Enforcement decisions will be based on the circumstances and evidence available and are not intended to be arbitrary.

Where access is suspended or revoked because of a confirmed material breach of these terms by the user, Aether Exile does not provide a contractual refund for the unused portion of the affected access period. This does not exclude any refund, reimbursement or other remedy that Aether Exile is legally required to provide under mandatory applicable law.

If your license is suspended or revoked for a security or abuse-related reason, you may contact official Aether Exile support and request a manual review. Any rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law remain unaffected.

7. License-time protection during AetherShift downtime

If an active AetherShift license becomes temporarily unusable because of an Aether Exile service interruption, Aether Exile maintenance, or a mandatory compatibility stop required while AetherShift is validated or updated after a change to the supported third-party client, the paid license countdown for the affected period will be paused. When AetherShift service is restored, the remaining paid time continues from where it stopped. This may be implemented by extending the license expiry by the duration of the applicable pause.

This protection does not apply to time when AetherShift remains operational but the user chooses not to use it, cannot use it because of the user's computer or internet connection, or cannot access the third-party game or platform for a reason unrelated to an AetherShift outage or mandatory AetherShift compatibility stop.

8. Compatibility and product changes

AetherShift is provided for an evolving third-party game environment. Features, supported cosmetic categories and compatibility may change as the supported client evolves. Current confirmed operating systems include Windows 10 and Windows 11. The current release supports Steam and the standalone client distributed by Grinding Gear Games (GGG). These names identify compatibility only. No affiliation or publisher approval is implied. Support covers compatible cosmetics, not the entire catalogue or every client variant. Temporary compatibility pauses and known limitations are published through official Aether Exile channels.

Aether Exile will not treat ordinary compatibility maintenance or a temporary mandatory compatibility stop as consumed paid time where the license-time protection in section 7 applies.

9. Consumer cancellation, refunds and conformity

Consumers may have statutory cancellation, refund, price-reduction, conformity and contract-termination rights under applicable law. These terms do not exclude or limit those mandatory rights.

Where applicable law provides a withdrawal period for a distance purchase, immediate supply of digital content or a digital service does not remove that right merely because access is delivered quickly. Any loss of a statutory withdrawal right will apply only where all legal requirements for that loss have been satisfied, including any required prior express consent, acknowledgement and confirmation. Refunds or other remedies will also be provided where required by applicable law, including where AetherShift is not in conformity with the contract.

10. Third-party services and terms

Aether Exile and AetherShift are independent third-party projects. They are not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, operated by or approved by any game publisher, platform provider or account service merely because AetherShift is compatible with a supported client.

Third-party services, accounts, clients, names and marks remain governed by their respective owners and terms. Users remain responsible for deciding whether their use of AetherShift is consistent with any third-party terms applicable to their account, game or platform.

11. Official distribution and support

AetherShift should be obtained only through the official Aether Exile release path. Do not trust third-party mirrors, redistributed builds or unofficial access offers. Questions about licensing, device changes, enforcement appeals or consumer remedies can be raised through official Aether Exile support channels.
