Match the focal point
Coordinate supported weapon visuals with the colour, scale and character presentation of the wider setup.
PoE2 Weapon Effects
AetherShift brings supported Path of Exile 2 Weapon Effects into the same deliberate workflow as the rest of the character's cosmetic setup.
Early Access opens Monday, August 10 at 18:00 UTC / 20:00 CEST.
Focused cosmetic workflow
A weapon can become the strongest focal point in a character presentation. A mismatched effect can break an otherwise coherent look, while a coordinated one can connect the character skin, Back Attachment and surrounding effects.
AetherShift lets players browse and apply supported Weapon Effects through the same interface used for the wider cosmetic configuration.
Supported behaviour is checked against the current Path of Exile 2 build. Item coverage and compatibility can change after patches and are communicated through the official community.
Coordinate supported weapon visuals with the colour, scale and character presentation of the wider setup.
Keep Weapon Effects alongside the supported character, Back Attachment, portal and cursor categories.
Follow verified coverage instead of relying on unsupported assumptions after game updates.
AetherShift workflow distinction
Supported AetherShift selections are not restricted to MTX already owned on the Path of Exile account. For supported skin workflows, a corresponding equipment item does not need to be equipped first.
This describes the AetherShift visual workflow only. It does not add MTX to the game account, change account ownership records or imply affiliation with Grinding Gear Games.
Common questions
It lets players browse and apply supported weapon visuals as part of the complete AetherShift cosmetic setup rather than treating the weapon as a separate process.
No ownership prerequisite is required for supported AetherShift selections. This does not grant account ownership of the effect or add it to the Path of Exile account.
No. Coverage depends on the current supported category, item and PoE2 build. Current compatibility and limitations are documented through official Aether Exile channels.
Yes. That connected visual workflow is one of AetherShift's core design goals for supported cosmetic categories.
