PoE2 Back Attachments
AetherShift brings supported Path of Exile 2 Back Attachments into the same focused workflow as character skins, effects, weapons, portals and cursor customization.
Early Access opens Monday, August 10 at 18:00 UTC / 20:00 CEST.
Focused cosmetic workflow
Back Attachments can define the outline of a character before any smaller visual detail is noticed. Wings, cloaks and other supported back-slot cosmetics can be considered alongside the rest of the setup instead of as an isolated choice.
AetherShift is designed to let players browse and apply supported Back Attachments during their PoE2 session, without rebuilding the complete visual setup around every change.
Coverage is validated against the current Path of Exile 2 build. Individual items and compatibility can change after game updates, so the official Aether Exile Discord remains the source of truth for current status.
Use supported wings, cloaks and other Back Attachments to establish the visual profile of the character.
Consider Back Attachments together with character skins, surrounding effects and weapon visuals.
Browse and apply supported choices through the same AetherShift interface used by the other cosmetic categories.
AetherShift workflow distinction
Supported AetherShift selections are not restricted to MTX already owned on the Path of Exile account. For supported skin workflows, a corresponding equipment item does not need to be equipped first.
This describes the AetherShift visual workflow only. It does not add MTX to the game account, change account ownership records or imply affiliation with Grinding Gear Games.
Common questions
Back Attachments are cosmetics displayed from the character's back slot, including visual categories such as wings, cloaks and other supported back-mounted designs.
No ownership prerequisite is required for supported AetherShift selections. This does not add the cosmetic to the Path of Exile account or change account ownership records.
Supported Back Attachment selections do not depend on equipping a corresponding base item first. Compatibility is still checked against the current game build.
No. Path of Exile 2 is actively updated, and compatibility may change. Confirmed coverage and known limitations are maintained through official Aether Exile channels.
